Arjun Kapoor Reacts To Celebs Getting Trolled For Charity; Says People Sometimes Expect Celebrities To Act Like ‘Superheroes’
A lot of Bollywood celebrities have come forward to contribute and donate in any way they can, amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. Some have donated funds for COVID-19 relief, while some have been arranging for hospital beds, medicines, oxygen and more. Celebs are often at the end of criticism if they ‘publicize’ their charity, and sometimes if they decide not to tell the world about it, they face criticism for not extending their help and doing their bit. Arjun Kapoor has now reacted to this criticism, and said that people have a right to their opinion.

While speaking to Hindustan Times, Arjun Kapoor said that these days, everyone has an opinion because it’s easy to sit in front of a computer and type what they feel. “You can’t get upset and react to everything, and I also don’t owe anyone an explanation,” he said. “If I do something behind the scenes, I don’t need to come out and tell you what I am doing, and if I am doing something and I want to tell you, that is my business, that I want people to know that I am doing something good,” he added.

Arjun further said that celebrities are humans too, and that people sometimes expect them to behave like ‘superheroes’. He said that celebs too have to take care of themselves, and while some may take a backseat, some like to step in the foreground, because they have the capability. “Not every human being you know is going out there and doing everything, right? Some are, some are not in a position to, and celebrities are no different. We are humans. I don’t have a take on it beyond this,” said Arjun.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in Sardar Ka Grandson, which also stars Neena Gupta in the lead role. Before this, he was also seen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, co-starring Parineeti Chopra. He will next be seen in Bhoot Police, and Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns.
